MOOLOOLAH VALLEY/BLACKALL RANGE RUN

Pinch and a punch and hopefully waking up not too dusty from the meet and greet – time to get the trusty steeds ready and out for todays ride out 10am departure sharp!

The first ride out will take us out of the coastal region and up into the hinterland via some of the oldest townships on the sunny coast passing through Eudlo & Mooloolah Valley then up to the Blackall range where you’ll get stunning views of the coast on your right hand side the majority of the ride. Passing through Montville, Flaxton and  Mapleton before carrying on to Gerrards lookout for a quick break and photo or two – Pit stop complete, it’s then time to make it down the range to Ricks Garage in Palmwoods, a diner that has become an institution on the Sunshine coast for vehicle enthusiasts of all types, this will be their first vintage scooters on mass turn out, so the team at Ricks are really looking forward to seeing what all the fuss is about and looking after us
Lunchtime here -dig in from the excellent menu  or just chill out with a beer or two -we’ll be here for about 2 hours before the final part of the ride back into Mooloolaba with a 3pm eta.

EVENING DO
6pm – 12am
All being well you should have a good few hours back at digs to fettle those scoots, start sinking those beers and getting ready for the evenings entertainment at The Wharf. DJ’s spinning those tunes we all know and love, and the band ‘Baggy Trousers’ will be serving up those all time top tunes from Madness!
our event is located in the function room on level 1 at the centre of the complex , plenty of bars and restaurant’s in the same complex for a bite to eat prior.

That’s it first day done!!

SATURDAY 2ND NOVEMBER

2ND RIDE OUT & SHOW AND SHINE

THE COASTAL RUNNo doubt everyone’s a little worse for wear this morning so we’ll be staying fairly local – again a 10am sharp departure from the same place as yesterday.
We’ll be taking you along the coastal road, north towards Noosa with views of the ocean on your right passing through Coolum Beach, Pergegian Beach before taking a left at Noosa and heading slightly inland to Eumundi then onto Yandina -Woombye – before hooking a right and heading back to the coast through Kiels Mountain to Maroochydore with the ocean now on your left we’ll pass through Alex headlands and onto Mooloolaba Esplanade to an area reserved for us to park for the show and shine.

‘Please take note in this area there will be separate areas clearly marked for certain categories of scooter, it would be appreciated if you could park in the designated area in reverse’

Its lunchtime now so find your self a spot to eat in the many cafe’s/restaurants and bars along the waterfront – we’ll leave the scoots here for the afternoon for the public to admire.

EVENING DO

6pm – 12am
Hopefully the hangover has subsided and your now ready for a hair of the dog and round two at The Wharf – same format -Dj’s spinning  and Baggy Trousers again entertaining us  – don’t worry its a completely different set of other well known ska tunes that will get you on the dance floor once again.

That’s it Second day done!!

SUNDAY 3RD NOVEMBER

DEEP INTO BANJO COUNTRY RUN
Make sure you’re in for this ride as its cracker , we’ll be heading out of the coast and up into the hinterland deep into hillbilly country, through tin pot towns and lovely countryside hitting the odd dirt road to get to a nice little country town called Kenilworth,  stopping here for an hour or two – there’s a good old Queenslander pub, and a few cafes along the main road, including Kenilworth cheese factory.
– BUT one you shouldn’t miss is the bakery – known for its Doughnuts – a range that’ll make you fill your Helmet with saliva just thinking about them!  if you’ve got a serious sweet tooth you can do the 1kg doughnut challenge!
There’s fuel here so fill up before the journey home down the range and back to Mooloolabah again with a 3pm eta.
