What defines a classic scooter?
In general, a metal bodied, geared scooter designed before 1980. This obviously includes the Vespa PX.
However, there are a few exceptions, a few automatics like a Fuji Rabbit are very much a classic, and a few others.
Can I ride my auto in the rally or include it in the show n shine?
NO! You wouldn’t ask to bring a Tesla to a classic car show and enter it so don’t do it here. You will be asked to leave and we can’t guarantee how politely.
There’s a cunning little hint in the name – Australian National CLASSIC SCOOTER Rally – did you find it?
Do I have to wear my wristband?
Yes. You will not be allowed to participate in ride-outs, let into the do’s or other activities unless you have a wristband on. If your wristband is damaged or gets lost, please contact one of the organisers. There will be security on the door at evening do’s checking wrist bands.
Hahndorf 2026 FAQ’s
When and where is the ANCSR 2026?
It’s happening 2–5 October 2026 in Hahndorf, South Australia, right in the Adelaide Hills. It’s only a half-hour ride/drive up the South Eastern Freeway from Adelaide.
Do I need to purchase a ticket?
Yes. Every single person over the age of 18 at the event needs a paid ticket and wristband, that includes pillions and/or partners and friends who are only attending the evening events.
How do I buy a ticket to this amazing event?

What’s in the Rally Pack?
All the good stuff – your event wristband, stickers, patches, info and maps and a few local goodies and surprises.
Where’s my Rally Pack?
Aaah the age old question. Keep looking, I’m sure it’s been delivered…..
Where are the evening do’s?
All the do’s are in the Discovery Parks Hahndorf Conference Centre. All do’s start at 7pm and there will be some canape/snack foods put out during the evening. It’s the law! (of the venue)
Where should I stay?
Your closest option is in Discovery Parks Hahndorf. They have put aside heaps of accommodation options for us to choose from – from lakeview cabins to camping sites for a minium of 3 night bookings. There’s some great rates negotiated so BOOK EARLY as they are already getting other enquiries about our accommodation.

Do I have to stay at Discovery Parks?
Not at all. Hahandorf has plenty of other options available via Booking.com, AirBnB, Stayz, etc or just Google Hahndorf accommodation. Google is your friend….
What about food and drink?
You’re in luck, my friend! Handorf is full of German pubs, bakeries, amazing restaurants and cafes, wineries, breweries, distilleries and more. You definitely won’t go hungry or thirsty!
Can I bring my non-scootering friend?
Sure, as long as they’re not a troublemaker or a dick! Don’t be a dick….
Will there be ride-outs?
Absolutely! There’ll be some great ride-outs through the Adelaide Hills and beyond with maps in your rally packs. We keep things at a cruisy, classic scooter pace – no one’s racing (except maybe the CASA Whores). But we do expect everyone to ride safely so the group can stick together.
Do I need to be an experienced rider to join the rides?
You don’t have to be a racer, but you should be comfortable riding in a group and handling your scooter on open roads and hills. The Adelaide Hills have A LOT of twists and turns so confidence (and brakes that work) are key. If you’re a bit rusty, just get a few rides in before the rally to shake off the cobwebs.
What about riding etiquette?
Ride sensibly, courteously and to your ability. Don’t overtake dangerously. Don’t undertake! Keep steady lines and watch out for riders around you. We all want to make it to the pub in one piece.

Can I buy Rally Merch?
Yes! Head on over and snag yourself a stubby holder to keep your beverages cool all long weekend. These will be collected with your rally pack at the event.
COMING SOON: You’ll be able to grab yourself an official tee or hoodie from the merch collection and have it delivered to your door. You may not get your rally pack before the rally but you’ll definitely get these!
Who’s running the event?
The Reservoir Gods SC Australia is the organiser of the event. But as most of our members are scattered around Australia, we’re also getting a little help from some of the lads from the Lambretta Club SA and Dynamos. It takes a community of legends!
